✩ Fab Stain Jessi Jae Joplin & Nick Ottaviano attend ROOKIE Fest with Tavi Gevinson, Rashida Jones & Bill Hader ✩

This past weekend Fab Stain Nick and I attended the Rookie Fest at one of our favorite Hollywood hangouts, Space 15 Twenty. It was put on by Urban Outfitters and Rookie Mag...and it was a BLAST!!! There was a Q&A session with Rookie Editor-in-Chief Tavi Gevinson and the very talented Rashida Jones...followed by an "Ask a Grown Man" session with the SUPER HILARIOIUS Bill Hader (of Saturday Night Live). We then proceeded to party like it was 1999 and the space became a huge dance party filled with super cool tunes, a zine making station, pizza, cupcakes (by Clara Cakes) and LOADS of candy...there was even a special live performance by The Julie Ruin, whose members include founding members of Bikini Kill, Kathleen Hanna and Kathi Wilcox. All in all the event was a pure SUCESS! Rookie sure knows how to throw my kind of party!
✩ Fun Fact: You may notice hottie Dallas Arce from our series: WASTED YOUTH in the photos below. Love her! ✩

I Can Tell We’re Gonna Be Friends...

Check out these photos of our lovely friends Arrow, Emma, and Eva whom I recently met at some of the Rookie Road Trip events here in LA! I saw these photos on their site and was so excited because these gals are seriously the cutest...not to mention, we share a love for all things that are cool (like fashion and TACOS)! The spread, shot at Emma’s house on 35mm film, are filled with Mickey Mouse ears AND princess tiaras. I love it all! Arrow and Emma have a blog called The Sunday Sisters. Do yourself a favor and check it out NOW!

Tavi Gevinson Lands Cover Of Bust Magazine!

We LOVE Tavi so much, so we were so excited to spot her on the August/September 2012 cover of Bust Magazine. She looks amazing in her green turtleneck sweater matched with perfect blonde bangs...very retro!
